We first met Gonzalo Borondo in his makeshift studio - a disused pub in a shady part London. It was 2014 and he was preparing for his now infamous 'Animal' exhibition. Behind the bar, on every wall, were finished and part finished pieces that wore his familiar loose style. We met again at the show and we were astounded by the installations, animations and paintings. That show kick-started a career that has taken him all over the world. His work adorns the walls of some serious collectors.
Whether a mural or an etching on a piece of glass, his style is instantly recognizable, the hallmarks of a great artist.
We love Borondo's work and cannot wait to see what he produces next, always exciting, always interesting, and never cliché.
