Collection: KAWS
KAWS, a.k.a Brian Donnelly, has risen through the ranks since entering the art scene as a street artist.
His subverted billboards brought him notoriety in New York in the late 90's and early 00's, but manipulating popular culture is what make KAWS the phenomenon that he is today.
In 2019, Sotheby’s set a new auction record for "The Kaws Album" - created in 2005 - with a hammer price of $14.7M. It had a low estimate of $760,000.
The art press have hailed KAWS to be the new 'King of Pop Art', but meeting Brian at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, we found him to be grounded against the backdrop of KAWSmania.
In our opinion, no contemporary art collection is complete without KAWS.
